Editorial guidelines

BestOf.ad is curated by our team. Our principles: 1. Independence. We do not accept paid placement. The "Best of" badge is awarded by algorithm, not editorial. 2. Real reviews drive ranking. We use Google Maps reviews as our source of social signal because they are independent, voluminous, and resistant to single-actor manipulation. We do not adjust ratings. 3. Editorial selections are clearly labeled. The "Editor's picks" section on the home is the only place where editorial preference appears, and it never overrides algorithmic rankings. 4. Threshold transparency. To qualify for the "Best of" badge or category leaderboards, a place must have at least 200 verified Google reviews. Below that, places are listed but not ranked. 5. Andorra-first. Coverage is limited to the seven parishes. We do not ambient-cover French or Spanish border towns. These rules can evolve. When they do, this page will note the date and reason.
